THE ALCHEMY WORKSHOP WITH GLENNIE KINDRED
Alchemy is the ancient art of transformation available to us all through the natural cycles of union, fertility and growth inherent in all of life. This is a weekend workshop, with a variety of focuses to choose from including:
The history and development of alchemy through the ages, through different cultures and changing attitudes, including the present day alchemy revival. Investigating and understanding each of the ancient alchemical processes as they link in energy to the 8 Celtic festivals and the Earth’s cycle. We will seek to identify and transform our Lead, (that which weighs us down) into our Gold, (that which lifts our spirits), to create our own Philosophers Stone, (to anchor our own unique inner wisdom), and to tap into the Elixir of Life, the healing energy that we all carry within us and once experienced can be reconnected to at will. We will learn how to use the natural power and alchemy of each of the 5 Elements of life (Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit) to consciously create new key changes in our lives. Working with each of the alchemical processes, the Dark (inner intuitive work) and Light ( our outer growth and conscious actions), we will explore ways to create inner and outer peace and a lasting experience of Unity and connection to the whole interconnected Web of Life. We will establish our own personal programs of Daily Practice including the power of conscious choice, visualizations, meditations, creating and holding sacred space, grounding exercises and working with ceremony and ritual to help us to stay connected to our own personal spiritual journey. A set of alchemy stones can be made. These link each alchemical process or experience to a symbol, which can be used for spiritual guidance. A decorated bag is also made to keep the stones in. A small booklet with Glennie’s interpretations of each symbol/process is given to each participant. This can be developed and expanded by each person as their individual understanding of each process grows. The weekend will include ceremony, drumming, chanting and trance work (Please bring your favorite drum/percussion instrument), group work, writing, inner journeying, meditations, laughter, sharing and reflection. Please bring a note book and lunch to share. All other materials are provided.
